Phoenix, AZ — The Phoenix College Men's Soccer Team is making history once again. The Bears have now been ranked No. 1 in the nation for eight consecutive weeks, setting a new program record for sustained excellence. The previous record — just two consecutive weeks at the top — was set in 2023.
This remarkable run marks a new chapter in Phoenix College soccer history. The Bears' first-ever No. 1 national ranking came on October 17, 2022, and since then, the program has continued to rise to new heights, becoming one of the most respected and consistent forces in NJCAA Division I soccer.
The 2025 season has been especially historic, with Phoenix College taking down two nationally ranked Division I powerhouses — #6 Arizona Western and #16 Mohave College — handing both teams their only losses of the season. Those victories not only solidified the Bears' top ranking but also sent a clear message across the country: the road to a national title runs through Phoenix.
"This group has been relentless," said Head Coach Cameron. "They've earned every bit of success through discipline, teamwork, and belief. To stay at No. 1 this long says everything about their character and consistency."
The Bears' blend of defensive organization, creativity in midfield, and clinical finishing has powered them through one of the most competitive schedules in the nation. Week after week, they've proven their ability to rise to the occasion — whether at home or on the road.
The current NJCAA Division I national rankings stand as follows:
-
Phoenix College
-
Mercer County
-
Northeast
-
Neosho County
-
Southeastern
As postseason play approaches, the Bears are focused on maintaining their momentum and finishing what they've started. With a record-breaking season already in the books, the team now sets its sights on one final goal — bringing a national championship back to Phoenix College.
