We're excited to share that two of our Phoenix College softball players are moving on to continue their academic and athletic careers at four-year universities.
Kassidy Juarez, a steady presence behind the plate, has committed to Metropolitan State University of Denver. She had a solid season for the Bears, hitting .358 with 34 hits and 27 RBIs. Defensively, she was reliable with a .988 fielding percentage. Juarez earned ACCAC Third Team.
Yasmine Bernal, one of our top pitchers, is headed to Park University. She had an outstanding year, finishing with a 26-6 record, a 2.28 ERA, and 204 strikeouts over 187.1 innings. Yasmine earned several honors this season, including NJCAA Second Team All-American, ACCAC First Team, Division II All-Region, and Region I DII Pitcher of the Year.
We're proud of both Kassidy and Yasmine and can't wait to see what they do next!
