PHOENIX, Ariz. – The No. 15 Phoenix College softball team faced a challenging slate over its last four games, finishing with a 1-3 record against conference opponents.
The stretch began on March 31 with a doubleheader at Pima Community College, where the Bears dropped both contests. Phoenix College fell 7-3 in game one before coming up short again in a 3-1 decision in game two.
The Bears responded on April 4 with a dominant performance against Scottsdale Community College in game one of the doubleheader. Phoenix College exploded offensively in a 9-0 run-rule victory, showcasing its firepower and depth at the plate.
In the finale, the Bears battled in a tightly contested matchup but were edged out 6-5, falling just short of securing the split.
The Bears will look to regain momentum as they face No. 12 South Mountain on Tuesday, April 7th in a double header on the road.
